Political Correctness – The Cancer of Free Speech

“One of the founding pillars was freedom of speech and freedom of expression. And yet, we have imposed upon people restrictions on what they can say, on what they can think. And the media is the largest proponent of this, crucifying people who say things really quite innocently.” Ben Carson

I call it the cancer of free speech. The act of silencing people or saying things that could be considered offensive to a certain group of people based on religion, race, or for the simple fact that it might hurt someone’s feelings. Give me a break. We can not express our freedom of speech anymore. The United States has become so politically correct that we tend to the offended minority while disregarding the will of the American people. We allow grown men to walk into the ladies restroom because it’s politically INCORRECT and hateful if we don’t. You can’t raise your voice to a woman or you’re considered a misogynist. And now you get spit on and beat up if you support a certain candidate for president! (You know exactly who I’m talking about).

72 years ago we had 18 year-old American soldiers storming the beaches of Normandy, France (known as D-Day) and today we have freshmen storming college campuses to their safe spaces. Secular progressives and social justice warriors alike fight for people who might need safe spaces like transgenders, homosexuals, or anyone who doesn’t want their opinions challenged. But with that being said, I believe nowadays it’s far more than just “political correctness”. It is the Left who wants to silence anyone who challenges their vile, disgusting agenda. To force the people to feel or act a certain way because it is the “right” way.

Bakeries need to serve homosexual couples to bake a cake for their coming wedding even if it may contradict with their faith. And if they deny? They can be seeing a lawsuit and most likely LOSING because they fought an agenda that is slowly devouring the United States to its core. When did it become “compassionate” to restrict somebody’s 1st amendment right to speak? If you ask me, trying to censor someone expressing their views because it contradicts yours makes you the hateful person. You can’t protect yourself from “words” when you have a human race that’s very vocal about their ideas and views.

With all this being said, what we need to do as a country is express our opinions! Talk about ideas. Be loud when we believe in something. You know who was vocal with the truth and told everyone about a great afterlife and God though he was consistently verbally (and then physically) chastised and threatened with death? That’s right, Jesus Christ. Liberals love to say if Jesus were alive he’d be a democratic, socialist, progressive liberal. Oh really? Being as politically incorrect as he was he wouldn’t have been. It’s strange to compare our God, manifested in the flesh, with modern day political correctness because it is an anachronism. Just strange.

God Bless y’all!
